New Taylors Falls Principal
After having received a bachelor's degree in communication, Jason Riebe began his career in education supporting students with special needs as a special education paraprofessional at Stillwater Jr. High School in Stillwater MN. He attended graduate school at the University of Wisconsin-Stout and obtained his master's and education specialist degrees in school psychology. When he completed his graduate training, Jason started work as a school psychologist in the Chisago Lakes District, where his time was assigned between Chisago Lakes Middle and Taylors Falls Elementary Schools. He spent one year providing special education administrative services to the Chisago Lakes and Rush City School Districts and is currently finishing up his third year as Associate Principal at Chisago Lakes Middle School. He received administrative licenses as a K-12 Principal and Director of Special Education at St. Cloud State University. Jason is extremely excited to be back at Taylors Falls and looks forward to working closely with the excellent staff and supportive parents and community in the Taylors Falls Area.
Jason lives in rural Taylors Falls, MN with his wife (Rachel) and 22 month old daughter (Ellis). He and his wife are expecting identical twin girls in early July. In his free time, he spends time with his family and is an avid angler, hunter, and camper.

Among Best in Nation
U.S. News & World Report released its 2013 Best High Schools Rankings in April and Chisago Lakes High School was awarded a bronze medal!
Schools were ranked within each state, as well as on a national stage. Out of the 21,000 schools, 500 were awarded gold medals, 1,790 were awarded silver and 2,515 took home bronze. In Minnesota there are 772 high schools; 6 were awarded gold, 40 silver, and 90 bronze.

Latest Test Results for Chisago Lakes Schools Are Impressive!
The Minnesota Department of Education recently released test scores for the latest round of Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment (MCA) testing that is administered in every school district in the state. The latest releases for Chisago Lakes Schools and the Chisago Lakes School District are indeed impressive.
District scores are well in excess of the state averages, and are the best in the local area, as reported in the Minneapolis Star Tribune. Individual school scores at the elementary level are the most impressive, indicating that upwards of 80% of all students tested in Mathematics and Reading are at proficiency. At the secondary level all scores exceed the state average with the exception of 11th grade Math at the High School level. Congratulations to students and staff and thanks for your excellent efforts!
